Puff Printing

Discover the power of puff printing. Create eye-catching designs with raised 3D textures. Perfect for apparel, accessories, and promotional items.

Custom Puff Printing Australia: 3D Raised Ink Apparel

For premium apparel brands, independent streetwear labels, and high-end merchandise collections, standard flat prints can leave even your sharpest designs looking ordinary. When your merch feels generic, it becomes harder to command premium retail pricing or hold your own in a crowded market.

3D puff printing gives you a different result. We blend a heat-reactive agent into premium plastisol ink, then let it rise during curing to create a bold, raised finish you can genuinely feel. The result is a clean, matte, three-dimensional texture that lifts the look, feel, and perceived value of your entire collection.

You bring the vision. We bring the depth.

What Is Puff Printing?

Puff printing is a screen printing method that blends plastisol ink with a heat-reactive agent to create a raised, 3D effect on fabric. A simple concept, refined into a genuinely premium result.

Here’s why brands choose it:

Distinct 3D Depth

Your graphics rise up to 2.0mm off the fabric surface, giving logos and typography real presence.

Premium Matte Finish.

A clean, non-reflective texture engineered for retail apparel lines and elevated branded merch.

Flexible Texture

Built with flexible polymers so the raised print moves with the garment and holds its shape through regular wear.

It’s the upgrade for brands that want their apparel to look elevated, feel tactile, and command attention on the rack.

Design Requirements & Technical Guidelines

We treat every order as a collaboration, so we’ll help set your artwork up for the cleanest possible result. To achieve sharp, consistent detail, your design needs to align with a few screen printing parameters. Artwork that falls outside these can bleed or bridge during the heating process.

Minimum Stroke Weights

Keep line thickness at 1.5 points (0.5mm) or above. Thinner lines won’t carry enough ink to trigger proper expansion.

Negative Space Management:

Small gaps, tight typography tracking, and fine halftone details can close up as the ink expands outward. Bold and clean wins here.

Garment Recommendations:

Heavy ink expansion pulls slightly on fabric fibres. For the cleanest, flattest result without warping, we recommend mid-to-heavyweight garments.

Not certain your artwork qualifies? Send it through. Our production team reviews every file before we print a single unit.

High-Density Blanks Optimised for 3D Screen Printing

Great puff prints start with great blanks. We stock retail-ready garments built to support clean, even puff expansion without fabric distortion, so your finished merch looks and feels the part.
