These Live Printing Terms & Conditions apply to live printing services provided by Tees Please Custom T-Shirts Pty Ltd (“Tees Please”).
By paying the required booking deposit or making payment in full, the Customer acknowledges that they have read, understood and agreed to these Live Printing Terms & Conditions.
- Booking Confirmation: A live printing event date is not confirmed, secured or locked in until Tees Please has received either:
payment in full; or
the required 50% booking deposit.
Acceptance of a quote, email correspondence, discussions regarding an event, provision of artwork, or Tees Please provisionally holding or “pencilling in” a requested date does not by itself secure or confirm the event booking.
All bookings remain subject to final artwork review, stock availability, venue suitability and Tees Please confirming that the proposed artwork, products and event requirements are technically suitable for live production. - Final Payment: Unless otherwise agreed by Tees Please in writing, where a 50% booking deposit is paid, the remaining invoice balance must be received and cleared no later than 7 days prior to the event date.
Final equipment allocation and production of Direct-to-Film (DTF) transfers may be withheld until payment requirements have been met. Unpaid bookings within 7 days of the event may be cancelled by Tees Please. - Full Payment Required: 100% of the invoice balance must be paid no later than 7 days prior to the event date. Final equipment allocation and pre-production of Direct-to-Film (DTF) transfers will not commence until payment is received in full. Unpaid bookings 7 days prior to the event are subject to cancellation.
- Cancellation by the Customer
11+ days prior to event: Cancellations will receive a refund of amounts paid, less any completed DTF transfer production, approved non-refundable costs, and any applicable supplier restocking and return freight charges for blank stock ordered specifically for the event.
6–10 days prior to event: Cancellations will incur a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the total agreed event fee, plus completed DTF transfer production and applicable supplier restocking/return freight charges.
Within 5 days of event: Cancellations will incur a cancellation fee equal to 100% of the total agreed event fee due to committed staffing, equipment allocation, production and event preparation.
Cancellation fees will not exceed amounts reasonably associated with the booked event and costs incurred or committed by Tees Please. - Restocking Fees: Where Tees Please has ordered blank products from suppliers specifically for the event, supplier restocking fees and return freight may apply. These charges will be passed on at the amount actually charged or incurred by Tees Please.
- Cancellation by Tees Please
If Tees Please is unable to provide the booked live printing service due to circumstances within our reasonable control, we will notify the Customer as soon as reasonably possible and refund amounts paid for services that will not be supplied.
This does not limit any rights either party may have under the Australian Consumer Law.
- Artwork Deadline: Final print-ready vector artwork files (.AI, .EPS or vector .PDF) must generally be submitted at least 14 days prior to the event date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Technical Approval: All artwork is subject to technical review by Tees Please before production. Artwork approval by the Customer relates to the design, spelling, colours, layout and general appearance. Tees Please retains final technical approval regarding whether artwork is suitable for the proposed live printing method, product and event workflow.
- Artwork Changes: Tees Please may request reasonable modifications to artwork where elements are considered unsuitable or unreliable for DTF production or high-volume live application.
- Late Artwork: Artwork submitted after the required deadline may incur rush fees, affect the achievable event output, or result in postponement or cancellation where there is insufficient production time.
- DTF printing involves applying a printed transfer containing an adhesive layer to the product using heat and pressure.
Very fine lines, small isolated elements, intricate details, distressed effects and other small artwork features have less printable and adhesive surface area than larger solid elements. These elements can therefore be more susceptible to incomplete reproduction, adhesion, lifting or loss during production or normal use.
Tees Please may recommend simplifying or increasing the size or weight of fine artwork elements before production.
Where the Customer elects to proceed with artwork after Tees Please has identified a technical concern or recommended an artwork adjustment, the Customer acknowledges the increased production risk associated with those elements.
A test print may be requested or required before final production. A successful test print demonstrates general suitability but does not guarantee that every individual item produced during a live event will be identical.
- Live printing is a manually produced service performed within an active event environment and differs from a controlled in-house production run.
Each product is individually positioned and pressed by a Tees Please operator. Accordingly, reasonable variation can naturally occur between finished items.
This may include minor differences in:
print placement;
alignment or angle;
positioning relative to seams, handles, pockets or other product features;
appearance between different product sizes, shapes or batches; and
reproduction or adhesion of very fine artwork elements.
Live printing is not intended to produce individually measured, machine-positioned or perfectly identical placement across every item unless Tees Please has expressly agreed in writing to a specific production requirement.
Reasonable visual variation inherent to manual live production is not, by itself, considered a production fault or misprint.
Tees Please will nevertheless perform all live printing services with reasonable care and skill.
- Tees Please Supplied Products: Where Tees Please supplies blank products, the applicable product, quantity and price will be specified in the quote or invoice.
- Customer-Supplied Stock: Customers supplying their own garments, tote bags or other products must provide sufficient samples before the event where requested by Tees Please.
Testing may be required to assess:
heat compatibility;
print adhesion;
surface/coating compatibility;
product construction;
achievable print quality; and
expected production speed. - Additional Stock: Customers supplying their own products should provide approximately 5–10% additional stock, or another quantity agreed with Tees Please, to allow for testing, setup and reasonable live-production requirements.
- Inherent Product Issues: Tees Please is not responsible for defects, coatings, treatments, manufacturing inconsistencies or other characteristics inherent in customer-supplied products that were not reasonably identifiable during pre-production testing and that affect print adhesion or finished appearance.
Tees Please reserves the right to decline to print a customer-supplied product where we reasonably consider it unsafe, technically unsuitable or likely to produce an unacceptable result.
- Tees Please takes reasonable care in the production of all live-printed items.
A genuine production fault attributable to Tees Please may include significant scorching caused by incorrect press settings, substantial transfer failure caused by incorrect application, application of the wrong approved design, or another material production error caused by Tees Please.
Minor differences inherent to manual live production, as described in these Terms, are not automatically considered misprints.
Where a genuine production fault attributable to Tees Please occurs, Tees Please will use reasonable efforts to remedy the affected item where practicable, including by reprinting onto available spare stock.
Where the Customer supplies the blank products, the Customer must provide sufficient spare stock if replacement printing is required.
Nothing in this section excludes or limits any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
- Estimated Throughput: Unless a specific minimum quantity is expressly guaranteed by Tees Please in writing, live printing quantities and hourly production rates are estimates rather than guarantees.
Actual throughput can be affected by factors including:
number and complexity of available designs;
guest decision-making and interaction time;
guest flow;
product handling;
artwork complexity;
venue access;
power availability;
queues and crowd management;
event scheduling;
interruptions or instructions from the Customer, venue or event organiser;
equipment issues; and
other circumstances affecting normal live production.
Tees Please will use reasonable efforts to achieve the estimated production quantity during the booked activation period.
Where a particular guaranteed minimum quantity is essential to the Customer, this must be discussed with Tees Please and expressly stated in the final quote or Statement of Work.
- Where an agreed event quantity cannot be completed onsite due primarily to a Tees Please equipment or operational issue, Tees Please may complete the remaining agreed items in our studio at no additional printing charge, where reasonably practicable and subject to the applicable quote.
Where items remain unprinted because of low attendance, insufficient guest demand, delayed venue access, power issues outside Tees Please’s control, Customer or venue interruptions, late commencement, Customer-requested changes or other circumstances outside Tees Please’s reasonable control, post-event printing is not automatically included and may be quoted separately at Tees Please’s applicable studio printing rates.
Any requirement for Tees Please to guarantee completion of a fixed total quantity after an event must be expressly agreed in the applicable quote or Statement of Work. - Delivery & Freight: Post-event deliveries may be made by local delivery or courier as agreed. Freight, particularly interstate delivery, must be discussed and approved in advance unless already included in the quote.
- Power: Each heat press requires access to a suitable dedicated 10A power outlet, unless otherwise approved by Tees Please following review of the venue’s electrical arrangements.
Heat presses must not be connected in a manner that Tees Please considers unsafe or likely to overload the available circuit. - Electrical Compliance: Tees Please electrical equipment will be appropriately maintained and tested/tagged where required. The venue or Customer is responsible for providing safe, accessible and operational electrical infrastructure suitable for the agreed equipment.
- Tables & Work Area: Tees Please can provide trestle tables where agreed in advance. Where the Customer or venue provides counters, tables or event infrastructure, dimensions and relevant access information must be provided before the event where requested.
- Site Access: The Customer is responsible for arranging suitable venue access, including bump-in and bump-out arrangements, loading access, parking requirements, inductions, permits and venue-specific contractor requirements unless otherwise agreed.
The Customer must notify Tees Please of site compliance or induction requirements within sufficient time for them to be reasonably completed before the event.
- The booked activation period begins and ends at the times stated in the accepted quote unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Where production is delayed or interrupted due to circumstances outside Tees Please’s reasonable control — including delayed venue access, unavailable or unsuitable power, venue instructions, security restrictions, client delays, late product delivery, event schedule changes or other site-related interruptions — Tees Please will use reasonable efforts to continue providing the service but does not guarantee that the originally estimated production quantity will be achieved within the remaining event time.
Additional event time, staffing, post-event production or return attendance requested as a result of such circumstances may incur additional charges, which will be communicated and agreed before additional chargeable work is undertaken.
- Quotes are based on the information supplied to Tees Please at the time of quoting.
Changes including additional designs, increased quantities, additional print locations, larger artwork, additional equipment, additional staff, extended event hours, additional setup requirements or changes to the event location may affect pricing and achievable production output.
Material changes to the agreed scope must be approved by Tees Please in writing and may require a revised quote.
- Tees Please holds Public Liability Insurance coverage up to $10,000,000 AUD for live event operations. A Certificate of Currency can be supplied upon request.
Where a venue requires additional contractor registration, inductions, documentation, permits or compliance systems, these requirements must be disclosed to Tees Please as early as reasonably possible.
Any substantial additional costs associated with unusual venue compliance requirements will be discussed with the Customer before being incurred.
- Unless the Customer advises otherwise in writing before the event, Tees Please may request permission to photograph or film its equipment, staff and completed printing setup for business portfolio or social media purposes.
Tees Please will not knowingly publish confidential information, unreleased campaign material, client artwork subject to usage restrictions, or identifiable event content where the Customer, brand owner or artist has advised that permission is required.
Where photography or portfolio use is prohibited, the Customer should notify Tees Please in writing before the event.
- Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy available under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law where that guarantee, right or remedy cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
Where the Australian Consumer Law applies, Tees Please will provide services with the level of care and skill required by law and will provide any remedy required by applicable law.
- Governing Law & Jurisdiction: These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. The parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
- Dispute Resolution: If a disagreement arises regarding the services, payments or deliverables, both parties agree to first make reasonable attempts to resolve the matter in good faith through direct communication between authorised or senior representatives before commencing formal legal proceedings, except where urgent relief is reasonably required.
- Variations: Any material variation to the agreed quote, scope or these Terms & Conditions must be agreed in writing by an authorised representative of Tees Please and the Customer.
- Order of Documents: Unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing, if there is an inconsistency between these Terms & Conditions and a Tees Please quote or Statement of Work, the project-specific terms expressly stated in the quote or Statement of Work will prevail to the extent of that inconsistency.
Terms contained in a Customer purchase order, supplier agreement, contractor agreement or other Customer document do not replace or override these Terms & Conditions merely because that document is provided to Tees Please. Any alternative or additional contractual terms must be expressly reviewed and accepted in writing by an authorised representative of Tees Please. - Severability: If any provision of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be severed to the extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue to operate.
- Entire Agreement: The accepted Tees Please quote, these Terms & Conditions, and any changes subsequently agreed in writing between Tees Please and the Customer form the agreement for the live printing service.
Preliminary discussions, estimates, provisional dates and dates temporarily held or “pencilled in” do not constitute a confirmed event booking. An event booking is only confirmed once the booking and payment requirements outlined in Section 1 have been satisfied.
